To what extent does museum architecture provide an answer to today’s challenges for museums? Valerie Verhack, curator of Thomas Demands exhibition ‘House of Card’ in M Leuven, talks about it with architects Adam Caruso (Caruso St John Architects) and Freek Persyn (51N4E).
The two worked on architecture proposals for two Belgian museums: ‘KANAL’ in Brussels (in collaboration with Thomas Demand) and ‘M HKA’ in Antwerp. The two projects addressed the concepts of ‘Soft Museum’ and ‘Productive Museum’.
The online lecture was organized by M Leuven, as part of the lecture series Food for Thought during the timeframe of Demand’s exhibition. Read more about Food for Thought and M Leuven here
