Bougie

The transformation of a former candle factory into social housing in Anderlecht finds its root in the urban renovation of the Heyvaert district, which aims to reshape the public spaces along the Senne River, which was covered in the 19th century to make way for a growing need for mobility.

Located at the corner of two different environments, the project acts as a pivot for this duality. It generates a new articulation towards the typical Brussels street and the future park of la petite Sennette, with each facade interacting with its immediate environment.

The ground floor will host a public function determined during a participatory process with the aim of strengthening the future link to its surroundings.
